Call for the provision of Communication Coordination Services for Festivals Malta Agency (Closed)

Festivals Malta Agency, the national agency to nurture creativity, professionalism, participation, and cultural education in arts festivals, is engaging a service provider to serve as a communications assistant under the supervision of the Head of Marketing to implement and support Festivals Malta Agency communications plan, particularly its online communications.


The service shall be remunerated at €20,000 for twelve months which may be renewed for further one-year periods subject to successful performance by the contractor. Payment shall be affected on a monthly period upon receipt of a valid VAT invoice by the Contractor.


Services to be provided

  • The provider will be responsible for:

  • To Develop in consultation with the CEO appropriate campaigns, strategies and materials for promoting the entity’s initiatives and programmes;

  • Managing the planning and delivery of social media marketing campaigns;

  • To manage the design of brochures and other promotional materials and the generation of content, coordinate and manage schedules;

  • To develop and establish strong communication channels with the national and international press, sectoral networks, international associations, and other representatives’ groups, and to work with the CEO, and the associates to maximize on the opportunities for Malta’s CCS both nationally and abroad;

  • Providing market research, analysis and reporting on users’ response, and performance of campaigns and promotions;

  • Monitoring trends in social media tools, applications, channels, design and strategy;

  • Monitoring the performance of the Agency’s digital presence and reporting back with suggestions;

  • Learning about the work of all Festivals Malta Agency programmes and initiatives and assisting in improving media strategies;

  • Striving to reach set targets in order to be able to contribute towards the attainment of the Agency’s overall communication targets;

  • Assist with other communications matters, as assigned by the CEO.


Other


  • Contractor must work within tight deadlines as required by the Contracting Authority.


QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED


The Communications Coordination Services provider must EITHER have

  • A University degree in marketing, communications, IT or similar;

OR

  • A minimum of two years of work-related experience in social media that includes Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube;

AND

  • Interest in the arts, preferably with experience in arts marketing.

  • An understanding and aptitude for digital marketing;

  • Excellent IT skills;

  • Proficiency in English and Maltese, with excellent oral and written communication skills;

  • Strong organizational and administrative skills and attention to detail;

  • A creative mindset and the ability to work well under pressure, completing tasks efficiently, and handling tight deadlines.


Submission of supporting documentation

Qualifications and experience claimed must be supported by certificates and/or testimonials, copies of which should be attached to the application. Scanned copies sent electronically are acceptable.


Original certificates and/or testimonials are to be invariably produced for verification at the interview.


Eligible applicants will be assessed by a Selection Board to determine their suitability for the post. The maximum mark for this selection process is 100% and the pass mark is 60%.

Service Providers shall be evaluated according to the following criteria:

Relevant knowledge: 30%

Relevant Experience: 25%

Abilities: 20%

Qualifications: 20%

Personal Qualities: 5%
